Bright, Cheery Colors. Fanciful Prints. The title of this post pretty much sums it up, right?
I received a bundle of the new Art Gallery Fabrics collection, Utopia by Frances Newcombe, last week. I decided to make another version of my Star Crossed pattern, using all the bright colors together (and adding more!) just to change up the look from the original Star Crossed Quilt.
I do have to say: I am really happy to have the opportunity to sew with these prints. I knew I wanted some as soon as I saw them pop up on websites: those bright colors are perfect! plus, I already had a bundle of the Art Gallery Fabrics “square elements”, which are part of their “basics” collection. I knew they would be perfect as the supporting fabrics.
I have the blocks all sewn and played a bit with different layouts. I like how the cross blocks look in the setting above. Maybe a future quilt inspiration?
If you haven’t already, be sure and visit my open giveaway, Here. I will pick a winner on Sunday.
