Have you seen the new fabric collection, Coastline, in stores yet? These pretty prints were designed by my friend, Sharon Holland, for Art Gallery Fabrics, and they are a perfect antidote to the current cold, grayness we have outside here in Ohio. The coastal vibe lends a relaxed feel to the prints, but the colors and style are anything but dull. I love the combination of turquoise, navy, salmon and gray.
I have a small sampling of the collection, so I am mixing them with fabrics from Sharon’s previous (and so beautiful) collections, Sketchbook and Gossamer. The colors and style of Coastline are particularly nice with the Sketchbook prints.
I recently started a new little quilt top with these, and I am growing more excited about it as I sew! It started with an idea in my mind and I am kind of just going for it. This can be risky, and I don’t always like the product as much as I liked what I imagined…but this time, I think it is going to work. Of course we have curved piecing, since that is my favorite (-:
Be sure and follow along on Instagram as I share bits of progress on this. Sharon has invited a group of sewers to make projects with the Coastline fabrics, and I will be posting my finished top (wishing to have it all the way finished, but most likely won’t have time). Click here to follow the blog tour and enter for a chance to win some of the pretty fabrics.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend…hope for sewing time! Also, if you like what I am doing here, you might like my pattern “Ring Around”. I also have a pattern, “Gossamer” that features Sharon’s previous collection of the same name.

Lovely curves! I really like how the sailboat print looks like a block print (from here at least.) Beautiful colors.
This is such an exciting quilt design Sharon! Can’t wait to see the completed quilt–it’s gonna be so pretty 🙂
I too love this new fabric line from Ms. Holland! I like your quilt pattern. I’ve never sewn circles. I have purchased the fat quarter bundle with some solids. I have a wonderful seller on Etsy. I now have all 3 of her lines and just love her designs. I look forward to sewing something but right now I just want to look at the colors!
