In my humble opinion, the new fabric collection, Paperie, by designer Amy Sinibaldi for Art Gallery Fabrics, is pretty much pure perfection. The soft colors and sweet prints make these a must have for any project you want to be ultra feminine, light and spring-y. Above I have them mixed with some linens, cream and white on white fabrics from my stash. This would make such a pretty baby quilt!
While it is tempting to keep the look really soft and sweet, I think the Paperie prints also look great with some zippy solid colors. This combination would make a great Gossamer quilt!
Another of my favorites from recent Art Gallery Fabrics collections: this inky blue. I always like blue in any shade, but for some reason this particular blue is my favorite right now. I love how well it compliments the light Paperie prints…. you could make a whole quilt with prints and still have plenty of contrast. This combination would be perfect for any quilt design that calls for a white background…just use the Paperie prints in place of solid white for a quilt with tons of character.
Of course, you know I love all things scrappy and prints so I couldn’t resist mixing the Paperie prints with lots of other fabrics in similar colors. This way you get more variety in value and scale, but keep the overall softness. This is great way to go if you only buy a few of the Paperie fabrics: mix them with pieces you already have in your stash. More is definitely more here!

I have 4 fat quarters of that line, and am thinking I need to get the rest of that collection. It really is a beautifully soft and sweet looking combination of prints! But I’ve been following Amy’s blog for a few years now, and I’m not surprised that the line is so beautiful! I believe I have your Gossamer pattern: I’ll have to pair the fabric with your pattern.
