Giveaway is now closed! thanks for all the comments, I love reading them and learning more about what quilters and sewers are doing.
The Winner is Christy and she was notified by email. Thanks!
It’s a great day for a fabric giveaway! Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the quilting world. If you are a regular reader, I thank you for the kind comments. If you are visiting for the first time from the Sew Mama Sew giveaway day: I am glad you found me and I hope you will come back again soon.
For my giveaway, I have seven prints from the brand new (and much anticipated) range by Jen Kingwell for Moda: Gardenvale. The light piece on the far right in the photo is a fat quarter, the other six are large fat eighths (around 12″ x 21″). A good little bundle to get you started on your next sewing project.
All you must do to earn a chance to win is leave a comment here on this post. Tell me your very favorite type of quilting project, for example: simple, fast patchwork, paper-piecing, curved piecing, applique or other handwork, etc. If you are not a quilter, what would you like to make with this fabric?
Leave an optional second comment (and another chance to win) if you share a post or photo from my website on Facebook or Pinterest.
My favorite it curved piecing! I love experimenting with different shapes and layouts that you can get with curved shapes in quilts. Above, Eclipse is my newest quilting pattern and I have just listed it in my shop in print form, so you can get it in print or pdf download. I just finished my first semester back at University (yea!), so I am looking forward to sewing some new curvy quilts during the summer break!
Good Luck, and thanks for stopping by,
Sharon

First comment, not sure that is lucky but here goes. My favourite piecing is blocks with lots of pieces and often small, that’s not to say I don’t enjoy sewing curves, or simple mindless sewing, I just like to sew.
I love scrap quilts. Your Elipse quilt is gorgeous.
I love just about every facet of quilting, but HSTs are a favorite!
I am a sucker for simple, fast piecing. 🙂
I pinned the beautiful fabric to my Pinterest Fabric board.
I love using scraps for tiny blocks
I really enjoy English paper piecing. It’s portable so I can work on it any time, like at lunch or when waiting for my daughter after school. And I love all the geometric angles like hexagons and jewels.
Thanks for offering a giveaway opportunity!
I’m gonna use all the luck I can get- I just pinned one of your pictures to my board called In Stitches: Creative Block
Thanks again!
Beautiful quilt, wow! I love handquilting, handsewing and applique very much!
I love curved piecing too! Second would be any patchwork
I love paper piecing. It’s so accurate, whereas my normal, piecing is a shambles 🙂
I like making bed-sized quilts.
I like the challenge of a quilt with lots of different blocks. Did Park Bench, Vintage Quilt Revival, America the Beautiful, and Asteria blocks of the month last year when I first retired. A little too much, but great fun.
This is the year I learn to curve piece something!!!
Pinned your Eclipse quilt – want to try it someday!!!
I love scrappy quilts in a traditional style. But I am now leaning toward a more modern approach. Great giveaway. Hugs
I just stumbled across your blog, noticed your name, and had to say hello from one McConnell to another! Lately my quilting style has been quick, fast and easy! Love the fabrics…they would be fun to work with!
So far since retiring I have done fast patchwork for grandchildren but I am thinking about curved piecing (my daughter loves double wedding ring quilts).
I love everything about quilting. I have two favourites really. Applique is my number one fav. Paper piecing comes in second. I love the sharpness that you get using this method of piecing. I am afraid that curves are my least favourite. I am going better with them though.

after making 10 quilts a year for the past 2 years. I now like something that is more complex but, not fussy.
something that will take a few months to make and in stages so, I try and learn and become better at piecing and quilting.
something that is fast and simple.
I’m doing several paper piecing projects right now. Love the points I get.
I love making tiny versions of regular quilt patterns
My favorite is fast, simple piecing.
I love simple piecing!
I like making HST’s-once I have a big batch of them done I can make dozens of different designs and have fun playing with different layouts!
paper piecing is fun!
Wow! That is a spectacular quilt!! I have been quilting for nearly 30 years off and on, and since learning to use the machine(!) love HSTs and other simple patch works, but I have a pretty good foundation from hand piecing and do like to try more complicated patterns sometimes…a flowering snowball last year, for example. But for me, the joy of starting and completing a project in a timely fashion with gorgeous modern fabrics is something I haven’t tired of yet:). Thank you for a wonderful giveaway!!
i love fast piecing but I always have a few more challenging project going on too. Thanks!
I love simple patchwork and fast piecing. Let the fabric speak for itself! <3
Also pinned the Eclipse pattern pic on Pinterest. Gorg!
I like all kinds of projects. I do enjoy a fast one every now and then to keep the interest.
I enjoy almost any quilting project. My least favorite is curves. They drive me batty trying to make them but I love the quilts made with them.
I love all aspects and techniques of quilting, with hand applique being #1.
Fast patchwork, definitely. I love how it really lets the fabrics shine. Thanks for the chance to win! mto2golsen (at) gmail (dot) com
I just started sewing Drunkard’s Path blocks and I am loving them so much!
I pinned your Elipse photo onto my “Quilts” board on Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/774124912774261/
I think I’d make some book covers and pouches. I love simple patchwork squares but I’m not a quilter.
I love scrappy, but it’s not something I consider myself good at!
My favorite is whatever I am trying to learn, right now it is fpp
I’d love to make a little bag, or maybe some pouches. You can never have too many…
I love working with scraps and love star patterns.
I love traditional piecing 🙂
I like every part of the process but really like being able to work a bit and come back to things that lend to a little bit of time here and there.
I use to love quick and simple, now I have gone to complex and paper piecing.
What a lovely giveaway Sharon! I love everything about quilting. Lately I have been making a lot of quick fast quilts for charity but I really want to try something a little slower with techniques I’m not so competent at, like curved piecing and applique.
I am not a quilter. . But would love to make easy appliance quilt with this fabric.
Love applique… and some embroidery
I love patchwork! Thanks for the giveaway!!
