I am so excited to share this quilt pattern with the world! I previously posted about my Eclipse quilt, Here. Now you can make one, too, if you have the latest issue of Quilt Now. I know that Quilt Now is not widely available in the States, so for my fellow Yankees, I will have the pattern available to purchase soon, too.
Update: Eclipse pattern is now available to purchase <<HERE>>
Issue 6 of Quilt Now is filled with great projects to sew as well as newsie stuff about new fabrics and sewing industry people and gadgets. I think it is so cool that this issue has two curved piecing quilts, mine and the cover quilt made by Jo Avery (@mybearpaw). It is a super cute drunkard’s path quilt, great for someone just learning to sew curves.
I am also loving the simple geometry of this beginner friendly quilt by Cherie Grzych (@cherie_gee). I am thinking this would be a great stash quilt, quick to make for a gift or holiday. It also looks like a fun one to play around with rearranging the colors and values to discover different looks and shapes.
The contents page. This is for my mom and it makes me laugh. Katy (the editor) wrote, “not for the faint hearted, Sharon’s quilt is tricky..but worth it!” Recently, when I have convinced my mom to try some of my designs she said that exact thing about the “faint hearted” business.
What can I say? A challenge successfully met is so worth it, and my Eclipse quilt is definitely one of my favorites ever.
