I am so excited to finally share this pattern with you. I have made two versions already and it is a quick one to whip up if you need a gift, baby quilt, or just a snuggle! See all of my patterns on Craftsy.
This pattern can be made with a Layer Cake for a scrappy look, or it can be made with just three fabrics for a more striking, modern look.
Do you remember when I told you about making the quilt with first graders at my sons’ school? The kids painted all over a piece of Kona Snow and then I cut it up….This is how it turned out! It was auctioned off at an event at the school for a fundraiser.
To see my post about the kids painting and what the fabric looked like, click Here.
I made this version with the collection “juggling summer” by Zen Chic for Moda. The prints are equivalent to a layer cake. For this one, the sashing strips are four different neutral fabrics set to make the zig zag pattern with a variety of bright solid scraps as the accent squares.
The pattern is available on Craftsy as a downloadable pdf for $5.
If you prefer to have a paper copy mailed to you, you can order one in my shop for $8.
Would like try this pattern? I will give away two copies (PDF). Leave me a comment on this post and I will choose winners on Friday.
thanks for all of your support!

Sharon, Zen Garden is fabulous! Great job on the school quilt, too!
I love this design, thanks for the giveaway. vickise at gmail dot com
It’s another great pattern by you! (No need to enter me in the drawing.)
This would make such a cute baby quilt. I’m imagining it in I Spy squares too. I did a fund raiser for my daughter’s school, we used Sharpies. What did you use for paint?
I absolutely love the idea of letting the kids paint the fabric. It turned out great!
It looks great and so inviting! in both variations, although I have a secret favorite 😉
