How about a (FPP) Picnic?

It sure doesn’t feel like picnic weather, but one can hope it’s coming soon!

For this week’s blog hop with Quilting Gallery, I will say “welcome, so glad you stopped by!”

For my giveaway, I wanted to share a gift that says something about me as a quilter: I Love Paper Piecing! Would like to try it? or are you already hooked?

Over the past six months I have been working on Mariner’s Compass blocks as a personal block-of-the-month. Here is my favorite:

see my tutorials for some tips on paper piecing techniques

One of my favorite paper pieced quilts is the Village Green:

I made this a few years ago, when I was much more daring with fabric combinations and colors (you would understand what I mean if you could see some of those prints up close). It is way simpler to make than it looks.

If you like paper piecing, or want to give it a try, the book “Paper Piecing Picnic” has lots of fun projects at all skill levels. To enter the drawing,  just leave a comment. Tell me about your favorite quilting technique. I will draw a winner on March 14.

Also, I just started a small Quilt Along, check it out here

happy hopping,
Sharon
