One of my favorite paper pieced quilts is the Village Green:
I made this a few years ago, when I was much more daring with fabric combinations and colors (you would understand what I mean if you could see some of those prints up close). It is way simpler to make than it looks.

I like strip piecing and chain piecing and stack pressing. I haven’t tried paper piecing but would love to, I certainly like the look of the finished paper pieced projects.

Oh my – I love your mariner’s compass block. I hope to make a mariner’s compass quilt someday to honour an ancestor that was a Master Mariner. I love many different quilting techniques and I am currently learning/practicing hand applique.

I LOVE Village Green! I enjoy paper piecing immensely – I love that the block ends up so precise without having to precisely cut pieces of fabric.

I’m a newbie to paper piecing, I usually machine piece (chain) and machine quilt. But I’m so impressed by the sharp points that I had to try it and it works really fine. This book is a lovely recommendation, I’ve only come across paper piecing books that I didn’t like so far.
