Surprise! I have a new pattern for you and it’s SO FUN. I think you’ll love the Festival quilt no matter what type of quilter you are…even those who are (STILL!) not converted to curves (-:
I’ve been in the mood to change it up lately and have especially had hexagons and triangles on the brain. I love that this one gives you the hexagon look in super easy piecing (no Y seams!).

Festival is a unique quilt pattern, and there are a lot of different looks you could create within the design. It will look beautiful in many fabric styles from reproductions to batiks. The pattern includes three size options: baby, throw and full, and it’s easy to adapt to your favorite size and shape.
I’ve made two sizes already with completely different fabric looks (I’ll show you the second one later this week as part of a designer blog tour). The pattern also includes a layout illustration that can be copied and colored to explore the shapes and plan your color placement.

I have to say, this quilt is a go-to for enjoying your best fabrics. For the one shown here, I picked out all my favorite light prints from my stash of Art Gallery Fabrics. I combined the cute prints with bright solids in coordinating and contrasting colors for a lot of interest.
It has Hobbs Heirloom blend batting inside and pieced with Aurifil thread. All-over swirly quilting was done by Darby Myers of Quilted Squid.

What do you think??
I’m pretty excited to finally share this quilt with you. I hope it says “happy” to you, too: fun to choose fabrics, fun and easy to sew, and a cute finished design. Grab your favorite collection of fat quarters or scraps and whip up your own Festival! <<buy pattern here>>
