We are gearing up the The Great Pixie Quilt Along. It will be fun to see all the different looks this fun pattern can have. This series of posts showing progress as I sew the quilt will be on the website forever. Feel free to sew along any time at your own pace.
First, you CAN make this quilt! all the piecing is straightforward, with basic shapes like half square triangles, strips and squares. You will recognize some of your favorite classic quilt blocks like shoo-fly, four patch and flying geese.
Our schedule is intentionally slow to make it fun and stress-free. We want you to work at your own pace and have fun and be inspired. Remember, you can stop at any point along the way to make a smaller quilt for Baby or wall hanging. The full size quilt is 71″ square.

I have never made a medallion quilt, but always wanted to. I just committed to donating a quilt for a fund raiser benefiting the non-profit my daughter works for. I need motivation and deadlines, a lot squirrels are in my sewing room.
