It’s the last week of November, and in the U.S. that means it’s Thanksgiving holiday and the shotgun start of Christmas shopping. I am so happy that I was able to celebrate the holiday with my sister and her family.
My mother was also there, so we have had some wonderful “girl” time sewing and shopping. The quilt above is one my mom made from my pattern, “After the Rain”, from Modern Patchwork magazine, spring 2014. It is on the guest room at my sister’s home.
For my sewing project this weekend, I brought along a selection of favorites from my stash of Alison Glass and Tula Pink prints. I am super excited about this! It will be turned into a new design I created for a magazine publication later in 2017. I always love sewing, but it is even more fun when I am joined by loved ones who also love to quilt.
We joined the shopping fun by supporting a local quilt shop, Quilted Strait, and I was able to drop off my Lucky quilt sample and patterns for them to sell at the shop. I am so grateful to all who purchase and sew my quilt patterns! (that’s me on the left above, “hi!”).
In honor of the big shopping weekend, I am having a pattern sale! use coupon “thankful” from now through Monday, November 28, to get all pdf patterns for $6. This is good in my shop on this site only, not for Craftsy. Get your favorite pattern now for 2017 sewing! Click Here
Thankful for my love of quilting and for the creative community I get to be part of! Happy Holidays, all.
Sharon
