I have something exciting to share with you: a new pattern, written and designed by me and now available to you for free! I created this quilt for Hoffman Fabrics to showcase their fabric collection called Talia. Talia comes in three color ways and you can see the quilt in all three color collections and download the pattern, Here.
I think this design has lots of potential for varying looks by switching up the values and color placement, or making it more scrappy (that’s the route I took!)
The quilt design was created digitally, but since I also had to write a pattern, I used some fabric I have on hand to practice sewing the blocks and check my math and that it all came together the way I imagined. I am really loving my start so far: pretty fabrics in soft corals, aqua, green and gray. I have only completed two of the star blocks so far, but have made all the hourglass blocks.
A happy discovery: this is actually three quilts in one! Look how great the hourglass blocks look when set together without the star blocks. Once I made these and saw how pretty they look in this setting, I was tempted to just sew them together like this. A third variation could be just the star blocks set side-by-side. Once I get some more sewn, I will show you how that could look.
I hope you like this quilt design and will visit Hoffman Fabrics to download the pattern and see their collections of quilting fabrics. I am excited to see how my Talia quilt comes together!

Thanks. I’ve downloaded it and will use it to make a Project Linus quilt.

It looks fabulous. And I LOVE the winged fabric mixed with other AGF. So pretty!!
Thanks! I love patterns that I can use my scraps on. Off to download it.
