You have probably heard that today is Visit Your Local Quilt Shop day. If you needed an excuse to go to said shop, this was it!
Since my mom is visiting, we actually visited two shops here in Columbus, Ohio.
My favorite is, of course,

Since I am a teacher at Quilt Beginnings and count the owner a friend, it is my favorite shop around here. Today we got a free pin for visiting on V.Y.L.Q.S day. This is where all my pins go:

QB has a program where they keep track of your spendings at the store and at different milestones, you get little thank-yous. Most quilters in the area have earned the blue tote bag and it gets you a free fat quarter of your choice when you shop with it and spend $10. How fun is that!?
Do you see my Reflections quilt hanging there on the left?
Anyway! if you are in Columbus and in the mood for a quilty fix, I can recommend Quilt Beginnings, especially the Sawmill Road store (there are two locations, Broad Street is more traditionally leaning, and the Sawmill store is more hip, bright, and modern). They are even nice to my kids when we come in.
Hope you had a chance to shop hop today, or maybe this weekend??

I did not visit, although I really wanted to. And I struggle with feeling guilty, as a local shop participated. But I have 28 UFOs, 5 WIPs, 6 extra-large bins of stash, and 84 untouched kits or sets of fabric with patterns waiting for me to work them up. So I made myself stick with my rule of no shopping at all, whatsoever, until 8 more UFOs are finished. 🙁 I still feel guilty for letting the local shop down.
Like LynCC, I have almost 4392 things either sitting waiting for me, or in my design notebook!! LOL I don’t have to feel guilty, tho, cos I live 30 miles from the nearest quilt shop! Your local shop looks wonderful – love the tote and pins, so fun!
