I am starting a new project and you know what that means: playing in my stash, feeling my fabric, auditioning and choosing colors!
I am starting another NY Beauty block to use as demo for my class coming up at Quilt Beginnings in Columbus, Ohio. I knew I wanted to use something I already had in my stash and wanted lots of color.
I opened up my drawers full of batiks and voila! tons of leftover strips from this quilt just begging to be used! So here is how it started….

Guess what? I even wrote the tutorial for how I make these curves with such great points and make them lay down flat. I hope you like it, I find this method much more enjoyable than piecing these “bumpy” curves, and I think they look better finished. So check out the tutorial!
My plan is to make another wall hanging size quilt like my other one to give someone as a gift.
I hope you are having a colorful weekend! (am I the only one excited to see Christmas stuff in stores?)
