Happy Monday!
Whew! I survived a harrowing weekend of parents- and siblings-in-law and cousins visit…You know that overwhelmed feeling of way too much stimulation, way too long?
Anyway, my boys had fun playing with their cousins and overall the visit went well, just noisy.
So, I am thinking about my 100 day hustle to-do list. One of the things I have on it is to make progress on my orphan Lemoyne stars.
I started with this fabric, it is soooo pretty, water-colory leaves in shades of green, gold, purple with little touches of pink.
I took the palette and started making stars in four sizes (yes, there might be something wrong with me), 12″, 9″, 6″ and 3″. I planned on using the leaf fabric to piece them all up to 12″ blocks then put them together.
After lots of time spent sewing, and lots of fabric chopped, I am kind of ambivalent about it. Any thoughts out there?
Do you like the blocks I have sewn so far? with the leaf fabric within the blocks,
or do you think I should piece just the star blocks together and use the leaf print as a border?
Suggestions are more than welcome,
Have a great week,
Sharon
Other progress on my list:
finish binding Reunion charm quilt–Done! I cannot wait to share it with you, finishing the pattern
fans….in progress, loving them on white background fabric
bikini bottoms….getting bigger, now have a plan for border
Sashiko machine….started piggy bank fund
circus compass quilt….no change, cannot get motivated to sew up the backing, need pep talk

I love it! Keep going….the leaf fabric winding through the stars is beautiful. 🙂 (Now you just need more stars. LOL)
It looks just pretty, your fabrics go so well together! I think the leaf fabric as a border is a good option – a thin border in turquoise and then the leaf fabric would look pretty good.
I absolutely love it! My only suggestion would be a couple more stars with purple to bring some balance. This is going to be so amazing when you are done!
