I like all the shapes but (maybe?) my favorite are triangles.
I must admit I like squares- so easy to work with. However after 40 years of quilting I’ve done them all even heirs.
Hmmm. I usually just do strips or squares, but I made one with triangle shapes a couple weeks ago. It was so much fun!
I love to make flying geese. They are so versitile.
i like all the shapes , I don’t think I can pick a favorite.
Wonky triangles are my favorite shape to stitch.
Hard to pick one but I think it might be triangles too because flying geese are my favorite blocks. (What intrigues me about the Stella lamp is that you can make it a warmer color!)
Right now, I really like triangles, but it is always subject to change!
After making a quilt with about a million (well, it seemed like that many) I’ve fallen in love with half square triangles!
How cool to possibly get a Stella light. I love the streamlined design and excellent light it offers. I saw a piece you were working on with small square pieces of fabric and thought I’d like to try that. I have a table top that’s 36 x 28 that I’d like to protect and I’m thinking it’d be fun to create a composition of framed pattern blocks with the frame color being a mustardy yellow and then the small squares forming the blocks being lots of fun different colors incorporating gray, burnt orange, cream, green, yellow, and mineral blue.
I love most shapes (not hexagons, tho!), but my favorites are squares and curves when I’m quilting!

I like to work with triangles; regular triangles as well as wonky triangles.
Triangles for sure. I love stars, flying geese and all the blocks you can make from triangles.
My favorite shapes to sew are squares.
I like working with triangles and circles.
Squares are my favorite.
These days I love doing tumblers, hexagon and diamond quilts but starting to play more with circles.
My new obsession: 60 degree triangles! Thanks for offering a give-away!
I gotta go with triangles. There are so many different ways you can use half-square triangles, and I love flying geese too.
My favorite color is pink too! I love hexagons. I find EPP relaxing and the hexagons create interesting patterns. A Stella light would be a big help when I sew in the evening. Thanks for introducing us to Stella.
Lately I love triangles but hexagons are a close second.
My favorite shape is HSTs. So versatile, and I love precision piecing. And pink is my favorite color, also!
Since I got my curve ruler, circles are my favorite. I like the look of not having everything so square. While I have you, is there a way to cut an inside arch with curve ruler?
Wow, I need a light to cut curves
I was just thinking about this last week – whenever I choose a block/shape, I usually use flying geese. That must mean I love them! So to answer your question,..triangles are my favorite shape.
I live xurves piexinf if late. So circles and orange peels are a fave.
It has to be triangles, any size. There is much versatility uses I triangles in a design. But the bottom line is that we need all shapes to create the beauty that comes from making quilts. Thanks for sharing.
I like sewing squares and rectangles.
I am a die hard squares person! I’m guessing you love circles?!
Thanks for the chance to win!
I do like sewing with half square triangles as well as squares. Loved your video on the triangle quilt with ombre and stripe fabric. I have a question ~ how did you figure out the dimensions of your solid end pieces (6 x 5.75″). That really finishes off the quilt well. I already follow you as you have my email. Thanks for the chance.
My favorite to dream about is circles. Still have not tried them but someday soon…getting closer to retirement and plan to spend more time quilting
HST’s and circles!
My favorite shape to sew is the Square for HST s. I know pretty vanilla but I love them. All those pinwheels ?❤️?
Squares for HST s, all those pinwheels. ❤️?❤️
Love your blog and your YouTube videos and Facebook posts. I love the half square triangle shape the best. Thanks so much Sharon!
I love circles.
I love making circles
First, the Stella Lamp would be very beneficial right next to my machine for these old eyes.
I haven’t sewn every shape, but when I made my Dear Dottie quilt I LOVED working with the quarter circles . The Classic Curved ruler made it so easy.
I’ve had my eye on a Stella lamp for awhile now! I’d love to win one! My favorite shape is definitely the circle! I’m constantly amazed at what can be made with it!
My favorite is stars
Love the curves!
I love the challenge of flying geese. Thanks. This is an awesome giveaway!!
Love to work with half square triangles and trying to get the courage to try curves!
Half square triangles & want to learn curves
Squares – harder for me to mess up!
squares – harder for me to mess up! Although still possible!
I’m a fan of half-square triangles, any size. Their versatile shape makes interesting quilts when using lots of bright scraps.
I think half-square triangles are so versatile! Thanks for the giveaway 🙂
Second try – half-square triangles are my favorite 🙂
I like HST but really squares are what I like to sew best. Especially scrappy square blocks.
