I thought this would be a great project for skill building if you are a new quilter especially. I’m planning several YouTube videos with tips and tricks for these little blocks and techniques you can apply to your other quilting projects, too. This week, we started with the basics: choosing our fabrics, cutting a couple of blocks, and chain piecing for quick work.

This week, for the first few blocks, I focused on those with rectangles and squares…they are quick to cut and sew for fast satisfaction. That means you’ll have a nice little collection of sampler blocks done up in no time. Coming up: Triangle blocks and starting the hourglass setting squares.
