It is quilt market and quilt festival this week in Houston for fabric and sewing lovers! What a fun time of year, seeing all the new products coming to us from fabric companies and designers. I love hst’s they are so easy and you can make so many different designs from them. I would really like to try curves but just the thought scares me half to death.
I like to make stars. Usually the large Ohio stars, but am thinking about doing smaller stars or pinwheels for my next quilt.
This year I’ve been playing with hour glass blocks. Last year HST’s. I guess triangles are my favorite shape. Next year that may change.

Lately it has been hexagons since I am doing an EPP Millefiore quilt…your polka dot bikini pattern is in my queue though with all the fabrics and pattern in a box ready to go! Love that pattern with your Eclipse being a close second! Thanks for the giveaway!
I do love your style! They are just my style too! I really like making pinwheel blocks in vibrant, deep colors. They are always so whimsical!

I love the look of squares and rectangles in a quilt, but I’ve recently been thinking about trying curved piecing. Something new, you know.
I love circles with paper pieced spikes as they have a lot movement.
I’m all for squares, because they’re straightforward.
I love squares which can be used to make hst which I’ve been making a lot so stars lately. Would like to try my hand at circles, be good to expand ones horizons!

I love to work with scrappy stars. All stars.
I mostly use squares but want to start some curved sewing (quarter circles). I’ve also started paper piecing and the sky’s the limit there. Once I learned the technique, it’s become easy.
I’m new to modern quilts, did only reproduction fabrics for years and am inspired by all shapes, such as the cool Eclipse pattern above.

I like curves and circles also, but have only make 2 quilts with curves so far. I do have a few patterns with curves and circles saved up.
I really enjoy any shape as I have hardly anytime to piece!!!
I love hexagons!! They are everywhere. My favorite size is under an inch on one side!! I guess I like “mini” things!!

I’m still a new quilters so I have only worked with squares! Lol! I would love to learn circles!
I like working with triangles and creating so many different looks with them, but when I want to relax, there is nothing calmer than simple squares and/or rectangles.
Try all shapes, haven’t done circles yet.
