Festival Fabric Giveaway!

It is quilt market and quilt festival this week in Houston for fabric and sewing lovers! What a fun time of year,  seeing all the new products coming to us from fabric companies and designers. Since I am not at market or festival, I joined the #missingmarket party on Instagram. You can follow along for a series of fun photo challenges and giveaways.

    I love hst’s they are so easy and you can make so many different designs from them. I would really like to try curves but just the thought scares me half to death.

    I like to make stars. Usually the large Ohio stars, but am thinking about doing smaller stars or pinwheels for my next quilt.

    This year I’ve been playing with hour glass blocks. Last year HST’s. I guess triangles are my favorite shape. Next year that may change.

    I mostly use squares but want to start some curved sewing (quarter circles). I’ve also started paper piecing and the sky’s the limit there. Once I learned the technique, it’s become easy.
