Happy November! Just popping in quickly to say thank you for all the sweet comments on my new quilt pattern, Sparkle, and also on my little Bikini quilt in the Bloggers’ Quilt Festival. I have not been organized enough lately to answer individual comments, but I do read and appreciate each one.
I can’t believe my Bikini quilt was nominated for viewers’ choice in the quilt festival over at Amy’s Creative Side. I’ve never really had success with my quilts in competitions and stuff, so that is pretty flattering… You can vote this week for you favorites (including viewers’ choice), Here.
This coming week I am taking a little breather and going to Sewtopia in Portland, Oregon. I cannot wait for a little vacation, and especially sewing time, which has been in short supply recently.
To celebrate, let’s share the fun with a giveaway! Pictured above are four fat quarters in a yellow, kitty cat theme, along with a copy of my Jumping Jacks pattern. To enter, leave a comment on this post and I will choose a winner when I get home next Sunday. In your comment tell me one quilt pattern that is on your t0-do list. I know we all have many, but choose one you really hope to make soon.
Have a great week!
Sharon
edit: this giveaway is now closed, thanks for all your sweet comments. The winner is Noell!

I would like to make a grandmothers garden quilt.
So many quilt ideas, so little time. the next quilt in line is a picture quilt – a little lamb with floppy ears set in a field of green pieced work (grass) and blue piece work sky.
I would love to challenge myself with your twirling fans quilt sometime next year. I am finishing up with the sashing on your 2015 block buster Tula Pink quilt. That was so much fun doing all the different blocks.
Cute pattern & fabric! I really want to make a lonestar quilt soon. 🙂
Love the pattern. Thanks so much for sharing. I would love to give them a new home…
I am making a quilt similar to one made by Bonnie Hunter where she used her leaders/enders. Basically it’s a rectangle with HS triangles sewn on the corners. Hers was scraps. My friendship group saw a similar quilt made with reproduction fabrics.so we did an exchange of strips. I prefer a brighter palette so I added a few brighter colors to the mix. I want to make the quilt for my sister who will be 80 later this month. Unfortunately it won’t be done by then. I think one of the names given to this quilt is Church Windows.
I love your quilts !
I must make the Broken V…I have some of the same fabrics!
Thank you.
Hope you enjoy your trip to Sewtopia! Everyone needs a getaway now and then. I am a self professed cat lady, and love this little set of fat quarters. As for Jumping Jacks, well, I love all your patterns, so the big question is, which one first?!
