Today I have another easy six inch sampler block for you! This month our theme is rectangles, you can see the other blocks, Here, along with instructions to make each one. **the fabrics used for this block and throughout this sampler series are from the Figures collection designed by Zen Chic for Moda (fall 2014)
Cutting:
from each, yellow and blue: cut (1) 4 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangle
from pink: cut (2) 4 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ rectangles
from gray print: cut (2) 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles
Sewing:
right sides facing, 1/4″ seam allowance, press after each seam
1. Sew a pink 4 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ rectangle to the yellow and blue rectangles.
2. Arrange the units as shown above. The yellow/pink unit is oriented with pink finishing on the bottom edge of the block. Sew a gray print rectangle to the right side of the yellow unit.
3. The blue/pink unit is positioned with the pink on top. Sew a gray print rectangle to the left side of the blue unit.
4. Arrange the sewn units as shown above. Sew the two halves of the block together.
