Fabrics….
taking a teeny break from my Marcelle Medallion quilt (on the last border!) to start my project for the Double Wedding Ring challenge hosted by the NY Modern Quilt Guild.
I am “making” fabric….the solid blues at the top will the insides of the rings and the hot pink and orange patchwork will be the borders. I am using my Notting Hill fat eighth bundle along with lots of prints and solids from my stash.
In keeping with the traditional wedding ring pattern where the rings are made up of pieced segments of fabric, I am making these strip sets in blue and green for the arcs of the rings. This is another “plunge right in” and see where it goes kind of project…Hope it works out how I imagine!
& Flowers….
One of my very favorites is blooming in my garden right now: September Charm Anemone.
