Blogaversary Giveaway Day!

Today marks the one year birthday of this little blog! I have had so much fun writing about and cataloging my quilting times, a little bit of life, and sharing some of my wisdom (ha! yeah, right.) with you readers.

We have had some fun this year, right?
we did the fan quilt-along (boo, mine is still waiting to be long-arm quilted)….
I shared some fun times from teaching classes at my local quilt shop…
I sewed like crazy to keep up with my wild imagination and even created some patterns….

Today I am celebrating you readers by offering some fun giveaways!

A little while back I told you I am excited about this new sampler book by Tula Pink. One winner will win their own copy of this book…hopefully you can join me in playing with these blocks!

TWO winners will EACH win two charm packs of “world tour” by Parson’s Gray.

Unfortunately, with shipping so obscenely high, the prizes above are for readers within the United States. BUT….
For International Visitors, one winner will receive a pdf pattern from my collection on Craftsy!

Enter the drawing by leaving a comment on this post (I have removed the word verification, so it’s super easy now). Tell me where you live, is it summer or winter? How are you spending July?

If you are visiting from outside the U.S., tell me what is your favorite pattern in my little shop?

Get a second entry if you post this link on your blog, twitter, Facebook, etc. (I am greedy and want lots of people to come visit me :- )

whew! that’s way too wordy. Happy Anniversary! Cheers! Bon Voyage! Come again soon!

Sharon

  1. I live in Galesburg, Michigan about 45 miles from the beautiful Lake Michigan. You will find me either on a beach on the great lake or on our pontoon boat relaxing on a little lake 12 miles from our house. Summer doesn’t get better than this. Thanks for a chance to win such a lovely prize.

I’m in the UK – it’s summer here and the weather is unusually hot! We need some rain!
I like your Treasure Maps pattern!

  7. Congratulations on the anniversary! Your quilts are just beautiful and your tutorials are great. I enjoy reading your posts – even though I don’t write many comments…I live in Germany and at the moment the weather is too hot, we’re also looking for rain.

Happy blogoversary and many more to come. I am in South Carolina. It is hot hot hot here. And high humidity. I have not had a good summer.. I have had a partial mastectomy for breast cancer and have been recouperating. And now waiting to go back for a total mastectomy as 5 of my margins were still positive for cancer. So July has not been a good month for me at all. After my mastectomy I begin reconstruction so the rest of my summer is still not gonna be any good. I am looking forward to 2014 and next summer is gonna be so much better.

Treasure Map is my favourite pattern. I live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada and, of course, it’s mid-summer here and beautiful. I’m mostly enjoying some “staycation” time with a few side trips to lakes and neighbouring provinces.

I feel just sick for Tammy who posted about her “breast cancer summer”. How awful. I know first hand how awful that is having spent a recent year with similar surgery, chemo, and radiation. That was a “chemo-summer” for me and not one I remember fondly but, thanks to chemo-brain, it’s not one I remember well! LOL. Happy to say I’m enjoying summers again. Hang in there, Tammy. I wish you the best of possible outcomes and the smoothest of possible sailings.

  12. I live in New Hampshire and we’re having a nice, hot summer here. I’m spending it at the beach as often as I can!

I live in Minnesota and we are having a beautiful summer. I’m out on my bike as much as possible and doing very little sewing.

  15. Joyce says:

I live in Washington and it has been hotter than I like but much cooler than the rest of the country. I have been watching old English mysteries on you tube and sewing for me for a change. I needed new school clothes. I am a middle school teacher. I was looking too dowdy.LOL

  16. vicki says:

I live in Oklahoma and it is hot and humid. I stay in and hand quilt, embroider, or read. Thanks for the giveaway and congratulations on making it a year. vickise at gmail dot com

  17. Margy Mc says:

I live in Texas. Hot as the dickens, but it is cooler and wetter than last year at least. Spending July inside sewing and gathering for a couple of swaps and planning quilts for my upcoming 1st great-grandson.

  18. I live in the good ole US and it is hot, hot, HOT! I used to live in the mountains and summer in the mountains is the best….on really hot nights, I dream of those cool mountain evenings! Thanks for the lovely giveaway and happy anniversary.
