It sure doesn’t feel like picnic weather, but one can hope it’s coming soon!

For my giveaway, I wanted to share a gift that says something about me as a quilter: I Love Paper Piecing! Would like to try it? or are you already hooked?

One of my favorite paper pieced quilts is the Village Green:
I made this a few years ago, when I was much more daring with fabric combinations and colors (you would understand what I mean if you could see some of those prints up close). It is way simpler to make than it looks.
If you like paper piecing, or want to give it a try, the book “Paper Piecing Picnic” has lots of fun projects at all skill levels. To enter the drawing, just leave a comment. Tell me about your favorite quilting technique. I will draw a winner on March 14.
Also, I just started a small Quilt Along, check it out here
happy hopping,
Sharon

I’d say traditional piecing. but wouldn’t mind trying paper piecing. Thanks for the giveaway. Rosanna

I like appliqué,but would love to try paper piecing!
I like hand applique, but I have enjoyed paper piecing this year. If I need a project in a hurry, however, piecing is faster. LOL Right now I am doing a combination of piecing and applique that is really pretty. Your block is very pretty!
I love crazy quilts. Randomness with shiny fabrics and velvets, but I am not working on any now. I am saving old mens flannels shirts for a plaid rag quilt.
Hi, I have done paper piecing once. I watched someone on TV doing it so I did, it was bad. Maybe I will try again. Thanks fr the giveaway.
I already like you on FB.
I love English Paper Piecing, but I have never tried Paper Piecing. I would Love to try it. Most of the patterns I see are delightful, but this one is just simply spectacular!

As someone who hasn’t finished their first quilt block I am not sure I can really give advice on quilting to someone of your impressive skill. Your mariners stars are truly amazing to me. So beautiful and perfect.
I love paper piecing! Good luck with the blog hop!
Thanks for the chance to win 🙂 I love your compass. It’s so beautiful!
I like both foundation piecing and English paper piecing. It is amazing to me that I can get such precise results with either method. I haven’t tried a Mariner’s compass yet but oh I do want to! Thank you for the chance to win. 🙂

I love paper piecing and I have wanted to make that village green for years. My biggest quilt of paper piecing was making a king size, millenium quilt. Took over a year but it is my favorite quilt.
I tried paper piecing via a Craftsy class and loved it! Your Mariner’s Compass is awesome.
Paper piecing is a long time favorite of mine.
I’m fairly new quilter that learned by machine piecing so that’s my comfort zone. I need to jump in the paper piecing pool,as everyone seems to love it. So maybe this is just the ticket. Afterall the title of the book is Paper Piecing Picnic, not Paper Piecing Root Canal!
I love to try different techniques. I really want to learn more about machinequilting. I do a lot of handpiecing!

I like to do paper piecing and would love to win your give away so I can make more. Thank-you for this great opportunity to win!!! Will check out your web site!!
I really enjoy English paper piecing. It’s so relaxing to make all of those tiny hand stitches. There’s something very grounded about reducing the process to the basics of fabric, needle, and thread. Having said that, I also enjoy foundation paper piecing–you can’t beat it for perfect points.
I haven’t done much paper piecing. But I like the results I have gotten so far. It looks like a great book. I’ll have to check it out.
I am quite new to paper piecing and am loving it. I’m working on a New York Beauty at the moment. Wow I would love to win your giveaway. Thank you for the opportunity. And oh I am a new follower from South Africa.
I actually love paper piecing because it gives such precise results.
