I am linking up with Melissa for the Lovely Year of Finishes. At the beginning of January I started my “treasure map quilt” and set my goal to finish it this month.
I came soooo close, will definitely finish it in the next two weeks or so.
I did finish the top and have it half quilted. so that’s pretty good, right??
I am quilting it Sashiko-style in cross-hatching around each “x”
I think it is a pretty fun quilt. I think it would be fun to make another with a solid background and bright “x”‘s. I am writing a pattern for this one. I will show you the finished quilt and give you a chance to win the pattern once I get it finished!

Considering you’re hand quilting this, the progress is not just “pretty good”, but great! Love your quilt. 🙂
How neat are your stitches? Gorgeous!
Great quilt!
That’s a very interesting pattern, I guess I haven’t seen it before. Beautiful hand quilting!
Love your quilt. Looks like a great way to use scraps. Can you tell me the pattern name or where I might find it? thanks.
Wow! I love this quilt Sharon!
A great quilt! I like the pattern and the bright colors.
Love this quilt! U go girl!!!!
Very cute quilt! My 6 yr old grandson came over just today with a treasure map he made with x’s all over it, and one y. He said the x’s were just to fool the other pirates into thinking that’s where the gold was but that it really was under the y! I thought that was very clever. I’ll definitely watch for your pattern giveaway since I have a budding pirate over here who would love an x quilt.
LOL I’m in the same boat….almost finished! Heehee!
Your quilt is stunning!
this turned out really beautifully!
