I hate to go for so long without a chat…but sometimes civilian jobs and family get busy! This week has been a little nuts and I am sad I haven’t finished my fan quilt yet. Maybe this weekend.
But,
I did teach my NY Beauty Class today and had a grand time! it was a great, independent group of ladies. I always seem to learn something from them as well. Here are my pieces so far…
The block on the right is all stitched down to the background. I decided to use the gray ombre solid from the new collection “simply color” for my backgrounds. Going to cut out squares across the color spectrum, mix them up and then sew them back together for the background of the NY Beauty pieces.
I am also the new proud owner of a Quick Curve Ruler and Jenny pattern to go with it…
I am super excited to play around with this. I love Jenny’s patterns. If you have tried the ruler, you have to let me know what you think and give me pointers!
If you don’t already follow Jenny (Sewkindofwonderful.blogspot.com) I highly recommend it. Her quilts are beautiful and her long arm quilting talent is out of this world!
while we are talking about talent…have you seen Rita’s current project? so great. It cracked me up a while back when I saw someone had titled a post on their blog “what would Rita do?”. I can totally relate.
Have a great weekend. Hope you find lots of inspiration to get your creativity supercharged!
Sharon
